Chelsea Shirt Sponsorship deal with Nike – English Premier League giant, Chelsea Football club has announced a mega shirt sponsorship deal with Kit making giants Nike.
The new Chelsea shirt sponsorship deal with Nike will officially run from from the 2017-18 season onwards after terminating a previous £30m-a-year agreement with Adidas six years early. The deal which is the most Lucrative deal in the history of Chelsea FC is worth a whooping £60 million-a-year and will run until 2032.

This Chelsea new deal is worth double of the current agreement with Adidas and its is the biggest commercial deal in Chelsea FC history and one of the biggest in the sports. The lucrative nature of the deal therefore meant that the club had to end their long and productive partnership with Adidas.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia was of course very instrumental in securing the mouth watering deal followed it by delivering a rare statement. On the new Chelsea shirt sponsorship deal with Nike, Granovskaia said;
“This is an incredibly exciting and important deal for the club,”
“Like Chelsea, Nike is known around the world for its excellence and innovation and we look forward to working together in what is sure to be a successful partnership.”
“We believe Nike will be able to support our growth into new markets as well as helping us maintain our place among the world’s elite football clubs.”
In recent years, Chelsea football club has been able to attract some of the most lucrative sponsorship deal with their current sponsorship deal with Yokohama Tyres only bettered by Manchester United’s deal with American automobile company Company Chevrolet.
This new deal will bring in a whooping £900m in total should it run to the end. Again this record is only second to Manchester United.
Nike is set to join Yokohama Tyres and Carabao as the three brands on the Chelsea FC shirt. The combined figures show that, the club could stand to make a £110m per year shirt deals alone.
The new Chelsea shirt sponsorship deal with Nike will cover kits for the first team, ladies team and youth outfits. This comprises of both training wears and Match day Chelsea uniforms. Chelsea will therefore join Manchester City as the only two English premier league teams sponsored by Nike.

With these kind of sponsorship deals, Chelsea FC is well positioned as a club to compete with some of the European giants in the ever increasing transfer market while also keeping both the FIFA and UEFA’s financial fair play rules.
